1821 Capped Bust Half Dollar. NGC graded AU-55. Nice old time toning with crisp details and bold stars. A handsome example of the chief circulating silver coin in the United States in the early decades of the 1800s. These were workhorse coins in their day, as the old saying has it (we see few workhorses today unless you live on a farm), and did yeoman's duty (ditto yeomen) which is why many are found well circulated.
Estimated Value $350 - 400.
